Roskomnadzor intends to create on its website a black list of publications, online communities and individuals who spread “fake” news, that is, knowingly false information.
As reports TASS with reference to the report of the head of Department Alexander Zharov to the forum of the Russian Union of journalists “All Russia”, “Roskomnadzor has worked this topic and at the moment we are ready to create the corresponding public list of publications, online communities and individuals who regularly participate in the proliferation of “fakes”.
In addition to the list of URLs that are spreading false information on the website of Roskomnadzor will place the description of false information.
Zharov recalled that its proposal on the register of distributors of false information was supported by the Chairman of the Union of journalists of Russia (szhr) Vladimir Solovyov.
Since the beginning of the action of the law”on fakes”, was launched in Russia in March of this year, Roskomnadzor has received 10 requirements of the Prosecutor General against 47 pages of websites that contain unreliable information, the dissemination of which poses a threat to public safety. If the spread of false information will lead to interference in the functioning of vital infrastructure, transport or social infrastructure, industry, penal sanctions for citizens will make from 100 thousand to 300 thousand roubles, for officials – from 300 thousand to 600 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles with a possible confiscation of the subject of the offence.
If due to false data, people die, there is a mass violation of public order or safety, ceases to exist on the objects of transport or social infrastructure, industry, the penalty for citizens – from 300 thousand to 400 thousand RUB, for officials – from 600 thousand to 900 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 1 million to 1.5 million rubles.
