Russian Promobot company engaged in the development and production robots, announced about beginning of sales of robotic companions Robo-C, having a human appearance. For the first time this robot was presented to the company in April at the Skolkovo Robotics forum.

In Promobot believe that such robot companions must “remove barriers in human-computer interaction and replace a number of employees in places of high congestion of people”, for example, in post offices, banks or public institutions. In addition, the company plans to produce robots to private customers who can use them as a companion or assistant that controls smart building system.
“Everyone will now be able to order a robot with any appearance for professional or personal use. Thus, we are opening up a huge market in services, education and entertainment. In turn, the head of sales Promobot Ivan Kolegov told the publication The Bell, what the cost of the robot ranges from 1.2 to 3 million rubles. The price of the robot depends on the version – this can be a robot with a face made by order (the production takes three months), or a robot with a template face (on its creation will take two months). In addition, the customer can choose from several options “physique” of the robot: Robo-C can represent just the head and neck or torso and stand, but moving in any case will be only his head.
As specified in the report, the company has already received a few private orders for robots Robo-C. Promobot Also is negotiating with companies interested in using such robots for customer service.
