I was lucky enough to meet personally with Stephen Wolfram at the First Russian conference “Wolfram technologies”, which was held in 2013 in St. Petersburg state University. After we crossed at the teleconference Stephen at Digital October. Recordings of those performances you’ll find below (sorry, the video from the conference, no translation).

Stephen Wolfram is very interesting man: he attracts not only a spectacular mind, all the historical IT belgradom (after all, he personally worked and knows almost everyone we can think of, from Steve jobs to his mentor Richard Feynman), his glory “surgica” (which is only its continuous collection and analysis of all the data about yourself), etc.

I think a lot of (or interested in) the IT industry will be interesting (even useful) to look at his life from childhood to create one of the first computer algebra systems (SMP — which then formed the basis of Mathematica), participation in the creation of the language of the aliens from “the Arrival”, hearings of the U.S. Congress on artificial intelligence and much more.

This post consists mainly of illustrations (photos, screenshots, etc.), but it is also very important that it contains a lot of links to articles Stephen (many translated into Russian language and I am glad that in most of the cases I was involved his direct participation).
